Promises of Our National Assets: Prescott, Arizona and The Dells

Guidance Aviation chose Arizona for the United States' first FAA approved Part 141 high altitude helicopter flight training facility because of the elevation of the state's former capital, Prescott. Many still think "heat" and "desert" when they hear "Arizona".  What they may not realize is that Prescott is located at an elevation of 5,400', offering summer average temperatures of 82 degrees, four distinct seasons, and over 350 days of sunshine each year. Complementing Prescott's beautiful weather is stunning landscape complete with rolling prairies, ranch lands, incredible granite rock formations, lakes, and streams.

On March 17, 2013, Guidance Aviation donated a helicopter, pilot, and videographer to share an effort called "The Promise of The Dells".  Join us for a journey down Granite Creek, over Watson Lake, through the old Granite Dells Resort, downstream to the confluence with Willow Creek and then upstream to Willow Lake.
