Helicopter Foundation International Scholarships

HFI is offering an array of scholarships to answer the need for both qualified helicopter pilots and maintenance technicians, and to provide further training for Safety Managers and other professionals in the Safety field.

Commercial Helicopter Rating Scholarship
In answer to the Helicopter Industry’s need for qualified Pilots, and in an effort to attract new talent to the industry, Helicopter Foundation International is sponsoring Four Commercial Helicopter Pilot Scholarships.

  • Scholarship open date July 1, 2012, closing date November 30, 2012 
  • Up to four (4) Scholarships of $5,000 each may be awarded

Maintenance Technician Certificate Scholarship
In answer to the Helicopter Industry’s need for qualified Helicopter Maintenance Technicians and in an effort
to attract new talent to the industry, the HFI is sponsoring six (6) scholarships for Helicopter Maintenance
Technicians.

  • Scholarship open date July 1, 2012, closing date November 30, 2012
  • Up to six (6) Scholarships of $2,500 each may be awarded.

Bill Sanderson Aviation Maintenance Technician Scholarship
Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) is pleased to announce the 2013 Bill Sanderson Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Scholarship Award Program. This program was founded by Helicopter Association International’s (HAI) Technical Committee to promote the choice of helicopter maintenance as a career.

  • Scholarship open date July 1, 2012, closing date December 30, 2012
  • Up to seven scholarships with a value not to exceed $1,600 may be awarded

Michelle North Scholarship for SafetyHFI is pleased to offer this Scholarship in memory of Michelle North, a well-known helicopter safety expert and educator. Michelle was a Member of HAI's Safety Committee for many years and also served as its Chairman.

  • Scholarship open date July 1, 2012, closing date November 30, 2012
  • One scholarship  to attend the safety management course HELI-EXPO 2013

  1. It’s really wonderful that these scholarships are being given. I’m sure a lot of aspiring helicopter pilots and technicians will benefit from these and be truly grateful for the chance to achieve their goals.
